APPROACHING FRONTS
End of Nations Fulfilled
by yvelguichetart.com on 11/18/11
The final issue of the End of Nations comic was completed yesterday! Unofficially that is, 1 day after the release of issue 1 on Nov 16th, issue 4 (at least all the work I had left) was out the door. It is a relief to finally see it done, to sit and look back over the year and a half spent climbing that hill, having personal chapters of my own sweep by through each and every issue while attempting to launch rockets with my bare hands to illustrate this comic. Finally to be here to plant this little note about it all coming together was enough to begin my close-out with.
Now with the release of EON 1 underway, were left with 3 more action filled ground pounding chapters to release and as you know 4 issues leaves not much to tell for the massive tale surrounding the Lib Front and the Order Of Nations takeover but we managed to do something cool with it. As a personal accomplishment Im proud of the volume of work I put in there as much as I was given the freedom to handle everything from my own pencils to the digital aspects of the project. I always knew what I was doing fundamentally but it seemed there was always something new to tackle to slow me down but and I found many ways to do them which means now more tricks left for later.
What was amazing was having grated all the extra time, inadvertently at the right time coinciding with personal life issues to deal with despite all. Enough to get that in order while I found a way to process the time within my schedule to complete the demanding challenges I was faced with.. and put EON out on time. Think of the 5 issues averaging 20-22 pages = 100 physical pages to draw give or take. Add the process of gray toning digital versions of them and you end up with 200+ peices for the entire series. I might as well been drawing 10 issues!
I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I had helping to put it together. For those of you fully installed within the EON game community site and forums, the comic was always intended to release alongside the game even with the it being delayed last year, a thing not due to publisher/brand reforms in play then, but this however was always the plan. A hint to you that the long wait for the game is almost over. For now go enjoy the story.
